Users in Need of Language Services
1. Where do I submit a request for proposal to a language service provider?
Search with suitable criteria for an interpreter/translator/language teacher. Contact the provider and submit your request for proposal. Send the provider information about yourself and your interpretation/translation needs. You can also submit your request as an advertisement, which will reach a broader group of providers.
2. How do I register to submit a request for proposal, job announcement, or training notice?
Requesters need to register for the service. This happens automatically when submitting a request or announcement. Managing requests and announcements through a user account is easy. Through your account, you can easily delete, edit, or renew your announcements. Read tips for hiring a translator/interpreter here.
3. Am I committed when submitting a request for proposal/announcement?
Submitting a request for proposal or making an announcement does not obligate you to anything.
4. How soon will I receive a response to my submitted request for proposal/announcement?
Language service providers participating in the service respond to requests and announcements as soon as possible.
5. How can I submit a request for proposal to multiple service providers simultaneously?
The best way is to submit your request as an advertisement (request-for-proposal advertisement). This way, it will reach all service providers matching the search criteria.
6. How do I order a language service from a provider?
Once you have received a suitable offer, order interpretation/translation/language teaching directly from the service provider by responding to the received offer. The order is made to the provider, not to TranslatorMarket. TranslatorMarket only provides a platform for finding a suitable provider.
7. What does using TranslatorMarket cost?
Submitting a request for proposal is free of charge. Job and training announcements are subject to fees according to the current price list. For completed language service work, you pay the provider directly.
8. Where can I find pricing information for language service providers?
The price of interpretation/translation/language teaching is just one factor among many. The quality of the language service is also significant. You will get the most accurate estimate of the price directly from the language service provider.
9. Who is responsible for the work of language service providers?
TranslatorMarket is a marketplace and meeting place, and thus it is not a party to interpretation/translation/language teaching. Language service providers are responsible for the work they do, so if you have any questions about this, please contact them directly. Read more about responsibility issues in the service’s terms of use.
10. I encountered technical problems using TranslatorMarket. Where can I get help?

2. Who can join TranslatorMarket as a member?
TranslatorMarket is open to all language service providers and language service agencies.
3. What are the user roles for members?
When a language service provider or agency joins TranslatorMarket, they automatically receive the user role “candidate.” Requesters of language services, on the other hand, automatically receive the role of “employer.” The user interfaces for logged-in providers and requesters are different. Thus, you cannot have both of these roles at the same time. If a provider also wants to submit announcements through the site, they must join with a different email address than the one used when joining as a provider.
4. What does using TranslatorMarket cost for language service providers?
Registration and basic functions are free of charge. See all prices. There are several different membership level options available, according to your choice and needs. Regarding assignments, we do not charge commission fees.
5. Can other providers see the offer I made in response to a request for proposal or my job application?
No, they cannot. This way, TranslatorMarket prevents undercutting of prices because it is not in anyone’s interest, neither the client’s nor the worker’s.
6. How often will I receive requests for proposals/announcements?
Requests for proposals/announcements are based on actual customer needs, so the number of requests for proposals varies depending on factors such as language pairs. Some common language pairs are more popular than others. There is also demand for official translations.
7. How do I change/correct the information in my language service profile?
Once you have registered as a user of the service, you can edit all your information by logging in to the service.
8. I have already registered for the service, but I forgot my password. What should I do?
No worries. You can request a new password through the login page. Order a new password and follow the instructions.
9. How do I terminate the use of the service?
– From the User Account’s Continuous Subscription section, you can suspend your membership, and from the Language Service Management section, you can hide your language service profile. This allows you to restore your information later if needed. Alternatively, you can cancel your membership from the Continuous Subscription section, in which case your membership will end at the end of the current billing period.
– If, however, you want all your information to be removed immediately, contact the TranslatorMarket administrator, and we will remove your information from the site. Please also state the reason for your termination so that we can improve the service in the right direction. Please note that completely deleted information cannot be restored later, even if you rejoin the service.
10. I’m not receiving emails from TranslatorMarket. What’s the problem?
It’s possible that emails sometimes end up in the spam folder. Check your email inbox’s spam and junk mail filters.
TranslatorMarket’s server is very fast, and we send emails quickly. If you have redirected your email to another email inbox, the redirection may slow down the mail. In this case, remove your redirection.
11. I have ideas for improving TranslatorMarket or for partnership opportunities. Who do I contact?
